D^2EPC
Next-generation energy performance certificate - development of the framework concept
Energy performance certificate becomes a comprehensive source of information
Project content
The D^2EPC project will be based on level 3 6D BIM knowledge. 6D means that beyond the three-dimensional rendering of the building, the time factor and the cost analysis, the life cycle is considered, i.e. a sustainability assessment takes place. Level 3 means that all trades can access and edit a single building model.
The project integrates real-time data from smart meters and the creation of activity profiles using digital twins into the calculation process.
The project concept will be validated and demonstrated under real conditions: six buildings, including residential buildings, apartment buildings and tertiary buildings, have been identified for this purpose in Greece, Germany and Cyprus. These buildings will be available for monitoring purposes.
Project consortium
The project consortium is composed of a balanced group of research organizations, industrial actors, SMEs and end-users, carefully selected for their recognized competence as well as for their complementarity and transnationality to provide the necessary knowledge, expertise and state of the art required for the success of the project, including the sustainability of the proposed research and expected results.
