NEWCOM
NEWCOM - Success through knowledge
The quality of the construction work is particularly important in the construction of nearly zero-energy buildings. Construction errors are often the cause of excessive energy consumption and loss of comfort. Particularly important for ensuring very low energy consumption is a tight building envelope and thus a correspondingly sensitive installation of insulation, windows and building services (heating/ventilation/cooling). The reason for such construction errors is often that tradespeople lack an understanding of the complex interrelationships between the different trades and building components. NEWCOM therefore aims to impart the skills required for the construction of nearly zero-energy buildings and for carrying out the relevant inspections by developing appropriate training modules that are recognized throughout Europe.
Objective
The primary objective of the NEWCOM project is to ensure the construction of nearly zero-energy buildings. This involves improving the quality of building constructions and avoiding construction errors. NEWCOM develops training modules for specialists and building inspectors. This increases both construction expertise and the transparency of execution quality.
NEWCOM means:
- Identification and development of necessary training modules
- Increasing the competence of professionals and the transparency of execution quality in the construction of high-efficiency buildings
- Creating a basis for Europe-wide recognition of the developed training modules
- Ensuring market demand for competent professionals in construction.
